Stop saying stupid stuff like:
"If you have nothing to hide, you have nothing to fear."
Start saying:
"A free country doesn't track innocent citizens."
Stop saying stupid stuff like:

@Tutanota
If you're not subversive, you have nothing to hide. Why aren't you subversive?
@Tutanota I know someone who used to say that. And now they lost a massive lawsuit recently and in discovery turns out they had lots of massive fraud to hide.
@Tutanota Anybody who does say that, shouldn't be allowed any curtains, blinds, or any other window covers at their homes. After all if they have nothing to hide, they've nothing to fear.
@Pamela1960 @Tutanota I countered a friend with that very same argument down the pub.
His reply:"I don't care!"
What an idiot.
Unless it's the government, which is supposed to be open:
"US Treasury Bars Reporters From G20 Finance Meeting"
https://piqmarkets.com/story/treasury-bars-reporters-from-g20-finance-meeting
@Tutanota You are 💯 right. Privacy is a human right not something bad or illegal.
@Tutanota its the panopticon, the Politicians can see they are losing control of the narrative so we need to be controlled.
@Tutanota Saying "If you have nothing to hide you have nothing to fear" shows a distinct lack of imagination, both when considering things to fear, and things to hide.
"I am fine with surveillance, I haven't done anything wrong"
Second person "until someone changes the definition of 'wrong' ."
I am uncertain if the colored version is AI or not?
How do you tell?
Pascal Bornet appears to be a real person, if not a cartoonist. He shills for AI though.
@Npars01 Pascal Bornet is an AI pioneer and influencer, so if he is the source, I think it's a save bet to assume AI in this case.
@pkoopmanpk @Npars01 I see. But not only that, I could recognize it from the style.
And after some seconds I could verify from this
@Npars01 @orange_lux @Tutanota
If it's got Pascal Bornet's name on it, it's AI.
@Npars01 @Tutanota there's clearly an AI vibe from the characters (AI generates quite a uniform style that's common for nearly every AI image).
Here, the two main giveaways outside of that are the vertical bar that divides the panel in two : AI has created two panels where one would have sufficed.
Also, the woman has a third hand.
@Npars01 @Tutanota but, when checking for the originals : the drawing on the right was made by Ivan Ehlers for LA Taco on July 26.
The AI image has a watermark : "Original Pascal Bornet". It's quite easy to find he's a massive AI bro.
He posted the AI image on his Instagram account on August 19 and of source, as all these AI fuckers, he doesn't give the source.
@orange_lux @Npars01 @Tutanota
I don't know Bornet, but he seems like the kind of guy who would have AI create a marriage proposal, or a eulogy.
@rgulick @orange_lux @Tutanota
For techbros, they appear to prefer a virtual world of fake perfection, over a real world of imperfection.
In VR, they are admired by others who flatter them & never face threats to a fragile ego.
A cartoon with a very on point message is copied then "optimized" without consent by the original artist.
Thanks for catching that!
@Npars01 @orange_lux @Tutanota Its definitely ai. Look at the womans arms and where here fingers are. Also look at the building behind the pole in the center and how one one side of the pole its one color and on the other its another. Then look at the cameras and how the surface they mount to makes no sense. The mount is not properly parallel to the face or the box it is supposd to be mounted on.
The style itself is a dead giveaway tho.
@chaoddity @orange_lux @Tutanota
I'm glad this thread is turning into a public education analysis of how to identify AI slop images.
In Google, this appears first in the image search results.
#PrinceBonesaw's money does information pollution so well.

@Npars01 @orange_lux @Tutanota sorry. Just saw the question and thought id answer it. :pensive_party_blob:
@chaoddity @orange_lux @Tutanota
Your answer was truthful. Truth about AI is getting to be in short supply.
AI is a theft from artists, authors, & artisans.
AI is a massive effort by the fossil fuel industry seeking to keep its hegomony.
@Tutanota there is a lot to hide that is nobody else's business, especially if you don't violate the law, and everyone should be able to decide for themselves what they disclose, and those who really harm the people, embezzle data and personal rights, are neither controlled nor punished, it's a crazy world
@Tutanota 🎯 💯
@Tutanota You have nothing to fear, if you have nothing to lose.
@Tutanota "If you have nothing to hide, then keep your fingers crossed that your very existence isn't declared illegal one day."
@Tutanota nobody is innocent. no one can judge whether anyone is innocent.
and the "stupid stuff"you say, I have a batter words:无欲则刚, and it's no stupid.
@Tutanota "Nothing to hide no reason to look"
@Tutanota
I love the Terry Pratchett quote
Commander Vimes didn’t like the phrase ‘The innocent have nothing to fear’, believing the innocent had everything to fear, mostly from the guilty but in the longer term even more from those who say things like ‘The innocent have nothing to fear’.
@Tutanota The first phrase can often be followed by a «why are you doxxing me?» and the retort «why would you want your address and phone number hidden?»
@Tutanota Everyone has something to hide, when you go to the Toilet you hide yourself!
@Tutanota Honestly, even the hardcore capitalists should understand that secrets leaking out can absolutely wreck your business. It's wild that Zuckerberg can buy the land around his Hawaii mansion, just so people can't see what's going on on his land, all while selling creepglasses.
@Tutanota In particular, in a free country you do not have to carry ID with you, you cannot be stopped on the street and asked for "papers please", and you cannot be arrested for not having them with you.
(I'm looking at you, France.)
@Tutanota agree! but, if I'm not tracking you, I can't know if you are innocent!! ;-)
@Tutanota
There are thousands of laws, rules, and regulations, federal, state, and local, that you could be unknowingly in violation of. Constant surveillance will expose an excuse to apprehend you.
@Tutanota One could even say, a serious, rational and legitimate government, wouldn't need a surveillance if such government was open and had nothing to hide from its citizens.
(This also makes stalking legal)
@Tutanota @chadmccullough "it's not that I have something to hide. I have nothing I want you to see."
@Tutanota @windsorwindsor2 unfortunately the people with plenty to hide, who are burying the Epstein Files, are fearing nothing.
@Tutanota
And "Under a non-free country, everyone has something to hide. Literally everyone"
@Tutanota Let's shorten that further: "A free country does not surveil citizens."
@Tutanota
"I have plenty of things to hide though, do you want to see proof of that?", is my go-to response.
Works every time.
I think that some Tech Bro lobbyists might see that differently. Or why is eg. chat control a recurring topic in EU parliament 😉
@Tutanota
The right answr is: "Well, unlock your phone and give it to me"
@Tutanota Ask them to tell you when was the last time they wanked.
@Tutanota Exactly…
@Tutanota and everyone haves something to hide!
@Tutanota right on, my dudes!
@Tutanota a law enforcement agency that is trusted by the community would have no need to data mine that community's private data for investigative leads
@Tutanota I was applying with a temp agency once and asked them if I could request a waiver of the private arbitration clause in the contract (my previous agency had a waiver process).
The agent got huffy about it, said "That language shouldn't matter unless you plan to commit a crime."
I responded, "My constitutional right to a jury trial shouldn't matter unless you plan on falsely accusing me of one." That didn't go over great.
When a free country surveilles its citizens, it's no longer a free country.
@Tutanota A free country also doesn't track *all* of its citizens just because a few of them might not be innocent.
@Tutanota 100% agree
Innocent is a pretty political word. Maybe a free country doesn't track people. I know it doesn't have the same flair. But innocence gets used to separate us all into piles of deserving and undeserving. I'd rather us all join together and crush the oligarchy. It has gotten entirely out of hand.
