I used to comment onionized links under some posts with URLS and I'm going to stop doing this because I just realized its insecure.

The way I find most onion links is through the tor browser or listed on the clearweb page that I already trust the identity of then I saved that link and only use that link.

If I clicked on random onion addresses to sites I already know the address of I'd be implicitly trusting new sources frequently any of whom could have forged a copy onionsite for whatever reason.

I just thought of a system that the tor browser could implement: when a user goes to an onionsite they can give it a nickname that will be displayed prominently when they access it again - that way if you do click a random link for an onionsite you go to a lot you can at least immediately get visual confirmation that its the same onionsite you always use.

Long post

Edit: I'm appending more examples from the bottom of the list so you can review your favourite/boost

I often get the feeling that most of you would unfollow if you read all my posts and replies and honestly I'm fine with that so I'm going to just state a bunch of my controversial opinions now to rip off the bandaid

Eating other animals is murder and paying for their flesh and secretions is the same as hiring an assassin

Billions of land animals are killed every year for human taste preference (trillions if you count weight estimates from sea creatures): there is no greater injustice past or present and there is therefore little to no suffering that could possibly fall upon humans as a result of correcting this that would ever not be worth it.

Dogs and cats can be vegan with supplemented diets for taurine for example

Its in my bio but the bible and the quran both advocate killing queer people so there is no way to call them good sources of morality.

Speciesist language that establishes a moral hierarchy of species or perpetuates depersonalizing or deindividualizing stereotypes are harmful and there is no good reason to use them: such as chicken pig weasel dog cow snake rat inhuman, "animal" (as insult or as a way to imply humans aren't animals) many such examples dm for a long txt

Sex negative language hurts women and queer people most such as fuck, blow/suck, dick, pussy, jerk-off, slut/tart/whore

White supremacy, patriarchy, cisheteromononormativity, ageism and ableism are real. Representation matters.

Children can be trans and they deserve gender affirming care especially hormone blockers which are themselves the compromise in this discussion as they are reversible

Children are widely regarded as property, status symbols or as a pets to satisfy the parent's desires and generally speaking aren't given enough rights for example freedom of association freedom of speech freedom of movement

Schools are prisons designed to instill unquestioning obedience to arbitrary authority more than anything else. They teach children that their free time is never truly theirs that they should be dedicating their life to the institution that knowledge and truth comes from authority not inquiry and, in schools with uniforms, that self expression is dangerous and will be punished

Borders kill for no good reason, they don't stop international crime but they do prevent periphery citizens from attempting to flee to the imperial core that is pillaging them. It is far easier for a citizen of the imperial core to get a passport almost anywhere in the world than it is for someone in the periphery to get a visa in the imperial core. Borders are the primary cause of modern slavery.

Any citizen of a country in the imperial core is a beneficiary of neocolonialism.

The vast majority of people believe one or more of the justifying myths of kyriarchy, by that I mean that they have beliefs that are either white supremacist human supermacist misogynist ableist queermisic ageist cisheteromononormative etc.

Private property is theft. Here I am using the socialist definition of private property: when your boss takes a tax off your work and gives you back a fraction of the value you create that is theft

Money in any system creates an exponential power imbalance and will lead to systems of domination

Actually private cryptocurrency like Monero XMR (not bitcoin or ethereum) is a reasonable engagement with money for anarchist praxis and as an anti surveillence and anti censorship technique

There is no justifiable use case for generative AI in programming or as part of any other creative output

Signal App is not censorship resistant or anonymous enough to facilitate revolutionary organization and something decentralized like SimpleX, Cwtch or Briar is preferable.

I2P>Tor (for hosting hidden servers) as its more censorship resistant

Hierarchical organization will produce societies with hierarchical power structures and is antithetical to the ideals of socialism: ie: marxism leninism is wrong and counter productive and you should all be anarchists.

Israel has no right to exist, nor does any country, but israel is built on colonialism and genocide just like the United States of America, Austrailia, New Zealand, South Africa etc. and as such israel shot first. There is no moral equivalence between genocidal violence and liberatory armed resistance.

Psychiatry as a field is first and foremost an immune response from kyriarchy to individualize social problems and medicalize anti authoritarian tendancies. https://veganism.social/@ambiguous_yelp/115905636752429264

Pets exist for the benefit of humans not non-humans who have their reproduction controlled and monitored for profit and are separated from their families kept in isolation a lot of the time and punished for displaying natural behaviours or for having mental health problems.

Sex work deserves no less respect than modelling or athleticism.

Pornography and masturbation doesn't atrophy your brain you fell for a christian misinformation campaign

Pedophiles need therapy, killing them or putting them in prison just discourages people from getting help

Drug addiction is a health issue and largely a matter of bodily autonomy especially when done in private. Criminalizing drugs makes the drugs themself and accessing them more dangerous and discourages people from seeking professional help

Prisons are universities of crime and countries that focus on rehabilitation have lowest recidivism rates

Correct me if I'm wrong but this cartoon is a good example of being colorfully offensive to bigots without invoking speciesism racism sexism or ableism/sanism

I didn't always realize this but "A plant based food system is the biggest way to combat climate change and deforestation" is malthusianism transposed onto human supremacy.

What is the difference between "livestock eat the majority of crops and drink a lot of water" and "There are too many humans the most effective solution to climate change is to have less mouths to feed and less energy demand"

For a while I excused this because I saw depopulation as an unavoidable consequence of market shifts, after all I'm not advocating they be killed its the farmers who would see them as an un-recouped investment and would have them killed

But this is just endorsement with extra steps, there is no way to say that water and land usage are a benefit of a plant based diet without it being human supremacist.

Yes I know I'm inviting the overpopulation antivegan argument but I'm at the point where I'm like "our species has made this ethical bed now we need to lie in it and bear the cost of caring for the population of moral patients we've created"

I recognize that with the way the world is atm the farmers will kill the livestock they don't sell. But I act to prefigure the world I want to create not to compromise with the one that already exists.

4 Billion Humans could die from climate change in the coming decades

How much warming means how much death?:
Institute and Faculty of Actuaries at University of Exeter have produced a report with a table illustrating best estimates for total human mortality for different global warming pathways

• 1.5°C @ 2050 with limited overshoot -> >80M Dead
• 1.5°C @ 2050 following overshoot -> >400M Dead
• 1.5°C-2°C @ 2050 -> >800M Dead
• 2°C-3°C @ 2050 -> 2B Dead
• 3°C @ 2050 -> 4B Dead

Be an extremist linux user that refuses to use debian due to their position on Large Lying Machine generated code.

Support projects that are most aligned with your values and those values are promoted.

I updated my copypasta to include more detail on how ai slop degrades cultural expression

AI slop hurts your soul.

It makes you: distrustful, dismissive of creative works, uncreative, derivative, imaginatively stunted, unreflective, dependant, it robs you of the satisfaction and growth granted by the creative process and it poisons you with all the same cultural biases taken from the training data.

AI robs people of imagination and the drive to create and instead produces output that is pastiche on steroid, uninspired unchallenging slop, every little detail crafted without personality or opinion with nothing to say except "this might vaguely remind you of something good that already existed": degrading culture and artistic expression into a facsimile of art similar to how fascists view art, it funnels visual expression through a filter designed by some of the most powerful people on the planet and is trained on data that has been proven to embed cultural biases such as racism and sexism

Gen AI is notorious for lying about things, googles AI search famously told people to eat rocks and put glue on pizza. So called "Hallucinations" are endemic to AI models and there is currently no known way to root them out.
By trusting LLMs for factual reference you are contributing to poisoning the information ecosystem with hallucinated LLM garbage. Please don't do that, stick to sources written by humans who can be held accountable for lies

I am also particularly concerned about the rise of chatbots pretending to be humans for political purposes.

Veganism is not a boycott - a boycott aims to change the behaviour of a company or industry; veganism wants to end an industry.

Boycotts have a conditional end; veganism is a baseline principle that non-human animals don't deserve imprisonment torture and death.

Boycotts are reform that targets extrinsic harms, veganism targets abolition of intrinsic harms.

So saying "Veganism won't achieve abolition because boycotts have limited success" is a category error.

@Scoll@todon.eu You don't have to tell me anything personal about them: someone not understanding that electoralism is a waste of time is an invitation to explain with 100+ years of historical socialist activity why its a waste of time. The system kills so many all the time and now its threatening to stand by while cliamte change destroys our ability to grow food there is no luxury of time to let people independantly rediscover revolutionary theory

#ClimateCrisis #Socialism #Electoralism

@Scoll@todon.eu You should read about chomskys 5 media filters if you havent alr for a framework for how capitalists distort public perception of the far left through the media - of course its a little different today with social media but our news media is still dominated by corporate entities.

The criticism in the video goes beyond detailing how the public is mislead into voting against their interests but goes further to state that no matter who holds the reins the state is designed to protect capitalists class dictatorship

I would add that power in general is about more than who holds a title - power comes from power structures which are upheld by a web of authority, if you come in guns blazing and say "I'm the president now so we're going to make housing free and abolish animal ag" etc then you dont suddenly have the power to enact your will just because a piece of paper says you're in charge - you don't reform the system the system reforms you, and either you compromise with the existing power structure by never meaningfully challenging their power or you will be kicked out

@Scoll@todon.eu Movements die at the ballot box - electoralism is a non-starter to abolish capitalism. Capitalists will never allow you to vote away their power.

Did you know theres likely a cryptographic lock on your computer that can prevent you installing whatever OS you choose (likely if it was made in the last 2 decades)

For intel its called Intel Management Engine for AMD its called AMD Platform Security Processor

These are closed environments isolated from the rest of the machine that perform security checks on the OS as it is booting

State and capital know personal computing is a double edged sword and can give proles too much power: so they've been quietly building locks at the core of your computer so you don't understand the freedom that is being taken from you.

When activated it would be trivial to outlaw any OS that isnt government approved like already happens in North Korea.

The only way I can think of to get around this is to support Open Source Hardware projects especially those building open source CPUs and full motherboards there are very few of them but most seem to be building on the RISC-V standard instruction set.
