so I'm making a desktop painting app and I want to get some ideas about what kind of licensing people prefer in their software

whatever I do, it's not going to be a subscription model *ever*, so that leaves a handful of relatively simple options. I have my preference for this, as a user and as the person who's got to implement it and deal with personal data, but I'm curious about what other people generally prefer
