I’ll be honest.

It’s tragically hilarious how silly went down.

If my family wasn’t literally starving and desperate— I never would have pushed the hard sell button as hard as I did

And even then

I’m fucking mild

So yeah, I do find it funny that the thing I started with were sagas and the note I’ll end on will be sagas.

We’re doing an “alchemist” mostly because me re-releasing month one at month fifty nine is super irritating to the people that marketed me as an idiot to salvage the representation of their own intelligence.

“Sentient Earth” at Brooklyn’s Amant looks super interesting.

“The centerpiece of “Sentient Earth” is Yuyan Wang’s video installation Green Grey Black Brown (2024). Installed on a bed of astroturf, the video is composed of found footage: a tree releasing all of its pollen in one massive, snot-colored cloud; people spraying green paint over dried grass; a black river of tar flowing through a sand dune. The piece is the result of a trip Wang made to a region in southern China that produces synthetic nature: fake rocks, plastic flowers and trees, and rolls of green astroturf.”

For anyone else looking for a writing app. This is an extension for Obsidian that looks pretty great! Has a few features missing but overall, I love it.

Uhm. This place is weird.

I'm so glad I finally switched internet companies. There are more outages but they are shorter, it costs half the price, twice the speed, and my server isn't blocked anymore so I can do upgrades.

I've been rereading Neuromancer lately and got suCCed as always. this time is data/programs visualization, the depiction of cyberspace from the novel is just soo attractive. I can't really go full-on direct retinal stimulation (even tho I now have a directory full of papers on facial electrodes stimulation of the optic nerve and drawing with phosphenes)...

So I cobbled up a quick SDL visualizer, experimenting with various ways to visualize raw bytes. I've been thinking on how to expand it into 3d in a way that makes sense, and then I saw @Koodes work on 3d orca. stunning.
That made think maybe the way is to actually integrate some livecoding or at least live-formatting tool in the visualizer. then well... basically the step becomes smaller and smaller to an actual programming language LoL.

Next step I think will be firing this to an analog VTX into FPV goggles and see how I feel about that :))

today's ephemeral computing research has led me to DARPA's VAPR project which makes a whole bunch of really expensive-to-develop-and-deploy technologies self-destructible and... edible!

I already have avocado trees and a mulberry tree growing in the greenhouse. Lime trees didn't survive their mistreatment at the store and succumbed a few months after I bought them.
