And after a few days of modeling and a 3D print, it looks like a handheld! And it has a handle too 😊

Thanks for the comments all! A couple of people mentioned it but yeah it does have strong Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy vibes!
@paulrickards Wow, beautiful work!
@tpolecat Thanks! Happy with how it turned out.
@paulrickards This is really cool, Paul!
@Luke Thanks Luke! 🙂
@paulrickards this is what Douglas Adams predicted
@paulrickards It's beautiful. Well done!
What is the opening inside the handle area for? Is the the HDMI port?
@loadhigh Thanks! 🙂
The port on the handle side is USB. I didn't expose the HDMI port.
@paulrickards Wow, that looks fantastic.
@nygl Thanks Nigel! 🙂
@paulrickards This has strong Hitchhikers Guide to the Galaxy energy. Excellent effort!
@paulrickards I really like the handle :)
@paulrickards is there any blog to read to find out more or how you build it? Cool!!
@bigbelgianbopper The print just finished. I might write something once I'm done tweaking some things.
@paulrickards Geat looking build and photos! How’s the refresh on the screen?
@paulrickards This is really cool! How do you get to the pairing button on the back of the Rii keyboard?
@dandean Thanks! Paired it before it was installed. The Pi remembers it now so no need to get to the pairing button anymore. 😃
@paulrickards I love this!
@paulrickards Beautiful
@paulrickards so, you made a cybermug :)
@paulrickards Pretty.
@paulrickards love the style. I think the slight echos of 747 flight computer really does it for me
@paulrickards nice! Reminds me of a tricked out version of my mom's '70s portable AM/FM radio. Love it!
@paulrickards @tankgrrl really nice. I love the handle.
@paulrickards Excellent embrace of the chonk. With the text on the screen, I would have thought the knob to work as a scroll wheel.
@paulrickards Wow, very nice. 🤩 The Osborne Tablet.
@paulrickards Absolutely incredible. 😮
@paulrickards looks very interesting, you made this for what?
@paulrickards Do you have plans to release the STL for that?
@mschfr Absolutely! It's comprised of several existing models 😀
@paulrickards Sweet! :-) What screen is that? Not seen a cyberdeck with a square screen for aaaaaages! :-)
@paulrickards amazing work, as someone who really misses actual keyboard phones, I love the vibe of this :)
@paulrickards very very nice. Congratulations!!!
@paulrickards that is super nice, well done!
What keyboard did you use? I cannot find it on the riitek site. Thanks!
@fedops Thanks! It's this keyboard:
@paulrickards thank you! 👍
@paulrickards has the trackpad been lost or am I missing the spot where it has been relocated?
Edit: nevermind I've just seen your like that shows it's not the same keyboard.
@InsertUser Good catch! I used a different keyboard from the first post in the thread that has no trackpad because it's smaller. The screen has touch so it's not really needed.
@paulrickards Love it, for v2 you could throw a small thermal printer in the back :-D
