7m ago... so I added si_code to the fields exposed by the kernel https://git.kernel.org/pub/scm/linux/kernel/git/torvalds/linux.git/commit/?h=v7.1&id=701f7f4fbabbf4989ba6fbf033b160dd943221d5 as well as the necessary plumbing in systemd-coredump to be able to show the code, and use it for filtering as well https://github.com/systemd/systemd/pull/42019/
Now you can tell if your segfault is caused by a SEGV_ACCERR, SEGV_MAPERR, or whatever other mischief!

You probably know about signals (eg: 11 for SIGSEGV), but did you know about signal codes (eg: 2 for SEGV_ACCERR)? Linux has the notion of si_code, the reason why a given signal was sent. Trouble is, the signal code was not exposed to user space...
