and it's not like i wanted to do this. i've had a rough 6 years (haven't we all) and i just wanted to put my head down and make games. since making the no AI notice people have asked me for optimism when i was face down on the floor depressed myself a couple weeks ago. but it's necessary so here i am

to be clear for an existing community there are exactly 2 options:
1. you convince them to ban the slop
2. you create a new splinter community that bans slop
there is no coexistence with sloppers in the same community because they will drown out all the non-slop until all you've got left is slop
and frankly with how little backbone is being displayed by community leaders and how many of them are embracing the slop, #1 is probably a losing battle

Since then, we've had his portfolio of 20 years of experience, work on big titles, and last 7 years of work on a very big game he turned around, bounce off games studios, recruiters, literally anyone advertising jobs.
I did some digging, and it turns out it was bouncing off AI filters. Changed his CV. It's stopped automatically bouncing off applications.Even before we get to the meat and bones of game dev, AI is ruining careers.
I fucking hate that clanker shite.

I think it's probably easy to create slop free spaces like game jams, because there's enough people who would like to join such spaces, and they understand using AI would ruin the whole thing.
