Having Done My Research, it would appear that a VM running in Proxmox can indeed have access to the HDMI port, and to Bluetooth for the controller. And given that the router side of things needs very little power, I think I'm going to try this.
Just need to work out how to go about it. And if it doesn't work, all I need to do is delete the VM and I'll have lost nothing.

Klein in Doppelgänger is determined to sound upbeat and present a call to action, whilst acknowledging, for example, that humanity has spent at least two decades squandering its last chances on the climate. She even notes Greta Thunberg’s changed tone.
And then there is everything that has happened since this book was written that has just made everything, everywhere, much worse, in every way.
Personally I don’t feel hopeful today. Maybe tomorrow.

Finished Doppelganger by Naomi Klein. A much more wide-ranging book than I expected, not just covering Naomi Wolf’s vaccine woo but also Steve Bannon, the history of autism, climate change, Israel/Palestine and a range of other subjects.
I’m looking forward to reading End Times Fascism. If looking forward is the right term. I nearly bought it the other day but it was full price for the hardback which was £25. I guess that’s just the price for new hardbacks these days but, crikey.
