Oct 20, 2026, 3:19 PMMastodon makes me feel not as weird because the people here tend to relate to what I'm saying, but then I remember that it's just because we're all weird over here.

In the event it's unclear, this is a compliment to all of my fellow weirdos. Thanks for helping to make a cozy and comfortable space where we can feel safe to be ourselves.

"Birches, leaf."
LOVE YOU, ALICE! :D
Coles Street PotholeColesStreetPothole@weatherishappening.networkOct 20, 2026, 4:11 PM@Alice Hey who are you calling a weirdo? I'm totally normal!
BTW, have you ever thought about having Hot Dog Guy in your avatar pictured eating a hot dog? I think it would totally add something.
- Oct 20, 2026, 4:42 PM
@ColesStreetPothole This is taking on a completely different context once you consider the uncropped version.
- Coles Street PotholeColesStreetPothole@weatherishappening.networkOct 20, 2026, 4:54 PM
@Alice 😂 I think I have seen the uncropped version, but it's like recalling a fever dream, I don't know if it was real or not! But yeah, why not? Hot dogs should be able to do all the things, no judgment here!

I haven't seen any signs of that...😂

Frootfrootsmoothie@veganism.socialOct 20, 2026, 3:46 PM@Alice I just left a reply on a post about how my thoughts felt validated seeing them expressed by someone else, and then I see this. I chose the right time to join the Fedi!

Being weird is its own reward, in my opinion, Alice, I, for one, say.

annabeeannabee92@mastodon.socialOct 20, 2026, 4:45 PM@Alice I had to get away from Threads because so called "normal" German people are unbearable. Everyone was always just so negative! I had to turn off notifications because people pissed me off so much. The people of Mastodon are much nicer! So little whining!

Stephen Darlingtonsdarlington@mas.toOct 20, 2026, 6:30 PM@Alice There’s a line in the (not great) Wonka movie where he says, “You’re weird.” It’s a catchphrase and compliment in our household. Embrace your weirdness 😊

@Alice If we're the common social norm, perhaps one may need to redefine ones perspective. They are "weird", not "us".
