A random positive message. Which is nice.

🙂

@adhdeanasl had a post that reminded me of this ditty.

YouTube was kind enough to serve that one up randomly not long after my ex left. Thoughtful sort.

😆

Hey Red. Have you ever run out of duct tape? And follow up: is it duck tape or duct tape?

There's the cost and additional weight for larger tires, but also space efficiency takes a hit.

Alec Issigonis deliberately chose the smallest wheel/tire package he could for the revolutionary original Austin mini because, aside from the above, the tiny tires also mean tiny fender cut outs and smaller wheel-well intrusion into passenger space. Overall they were just more efficient.

This was a lesson that was tossed with the newer versions of the car, which was very much more a trendy nostalgia trip for aging Boomers.

Dude replaces EV6 20" wheels with 18" wheels, saving 20lbs (9kgs) per wheel in weight and increasing efficiency by 11%.

Stupidly large wheels have been a bugbear for me for a while. I'll be glad when the trend dies off.

Has anyone asked the EU if Canada can join up? We'd sit in the back and not cause a commotion, promise.

The problem with the USA's self immolation is we're in the burn radius.
