@stux @ppossej I remember distinctly when calling my friend I was studying together Pascal with and shouting all excited «did you know you can create an array of a length not fixed in the sources!????» (I was about 14, so it was 1991). 😁

@stux @ppossej That too. Except I never found an actual usage of recursion in any software of mine, except for writing descent parsers. :D

i remember thinking "this dynamic array stuff in c is not that bad" and then debugging segfaults in my cute little programming assignments long into the night
and i fully believe there is an alternate reality where my ability to subject myself to this particular type of torment got me somewhere.
