It’s not just Talarico beating Paxton.
It’s Abbott losing.
It’s Dan Patrick losing.
It’s Mayes Middleton losing.
It’s Bo French losing.
It’s every single statewide race in Texas—including four (of the nine) seats on the Texas Supreme Court.
Holy. Shit.
Massive!
@stevevladeck.bsky.social
I feel like Abbott's iron-fisted, bully-pulpit enabling is going to be felt pretty far and wide.
Steve Toth maybe losing!
Yes! Ode to Austin!
I wish Cruz could've been up for reelection as well.
i wish Molly Ivins was here to see this
Lucy finally didn’t pull away the football.
This is too much joy for my heart to handle. But that’s okay, I can die happy.
The corruption that is about to get cleaned up in Texas will be massive.
Glorious.
The Shining: Blood Elevator
Historically Texas has not been blood red the way it's assumed in the last decades. This is proof of the real Texas underneath that cannot be covered up indefinitely by conservative gerrymandering tricks and propaganda bullshit.
Republican donors & open public corruption...

The funding behind the fascism needs investigation so badly.
Musk isn't the only crook buying elections for the GOP.

I wonder how Musk is feeling now about moving all his eggs into that basket.
@stevevladeck.bsky.social as I said to my European friend… Texas republicans have lost so badly in Texas, they drew lines they thought would guarantee control and power… and it blew up in their faces like an atomic BOMB 🌋
@stevevladeck.bsky.social it's going to be a trifecta. Texas is deep blue tonight. Democrats can appoint a non-partisan redistricting board and fix all the insane gerrymanders, if they've got the guts for it.
This is so delicious!😋
@stevevladeck.bsky.social It's because Republikkkan voters hate paying $5 for gasoline for their trucks. They're totally cool with the concentration camps and denial of civil rights. Just don't make owning a truck cost more.
@stevevladeck.bsky.social It's difficult to decide which one I despise the most. It will be nice to never hear from bigot Dan Patrick again.
Historical!
@stevevladeck.bsky.social It’s also about Musk losing.
