The age verification thing feels so much like the kind of law that regulates women's clothing rather than holding abusers accountable.
Regulate the tech companies. Leave kids alone.

The word is #green
The song is Little Green, by Joni Mitchell, from her 1971 album Blue. She wrote it for her daughter, whom she named Kelly, the reference is Kelly Green.
I did talk to him about his bike though. He said it goes 50 mph, but can get up to 80 mph
We adopted Luna when she was almost 5, after she was rescued from being a breeder in a puppy mill. Almost 5 years later, she is still developing a personality and coming out of her shell after having been mistreated for so long. This is the first time she has ever lain her head in my lap like this, which is why I look so happy right now.
Second, I'm thinking I might make an earnest attempt to get back to poetry. But I definitely need to read and explore and figure out who's doing good literary citizenship ATM. So suggestions on that front are welcome, too!
(I'll do some browsing ChillSubs, but that can get overwhelming)
Feel like there's a lot going on for me right now.
First of all, based on some chatter, I may need to move off https://zirk.us. Anybody have any suggestions for good, reliable, well-maintained Fedi instances?

Today I read Legends & Librarians (Pandora Pierce) and enjoyed it so much I raced through it and then I read the sequel, Myths & Manuscripts. Perfect cozy fantasy with magic in book and libraries plus romance. Yes I read *both* today. Now listening to make that joy last a little longer. #Bookstodon

People are always locking their bikes up on the rack at the grocery store so that they take up the entire rack, instead of putting their bike so it just takes up a single slot. I never see them do it, so I'm always just annoyed.
Tonight, though, i got there as a guy was locking up his electric motorcycle so it blocked the whole rack. I asked him if he could move his bike. He asked why. I said so I could use the rack, too.
"Oh, sure. I didn't realize I was taking up the entire rack." (it was obvious he was taking up the entire rack).
He moved it. People!
