@jsnell If it has Promotion, it’s going to replace my 2018 iPad Pro!
@jsnell If there's a new mini, I may be yelling, "Take my money!" I'm coasting along with a 2018 mini that I bought in October 2020, with a crack in one corner of the screen that must be four years old and almost no battery life. But it's where I've done 90+% of my library book reading since I bought it.
@jsnell I remember turning over the idea for a bit before the first iPad mini came out of just switching to it as my carry device instead of an iPhone. I was willing to wear cargo pants to make it happen 😂. It wasn't quite the right device at the time though, and it was literally a different era. Now though...
@jsnell When the current iPad mini came out, I did an extensive comparison with the Pro and the Air. I’ve had mini interest for years. Getting Pencil Pro support was big for me. Another factor was the fact that the mini has the best ppi (326 vs 264 on all other models). Also the screen ratio is nearly the same as my 16-inch MBP, which appealed to me. The mini won. I dunno if OLED, promotion, and upgraded speakers will be enough to make me trade in.
@jsnell I have a Pro 13” provided by my work, an 11” Pro for a “downstairs/travel laptop” and a Mini for reading, surfing and that kind of thing. I do love it and would hate to lose it. I have no interest in the Duo-Gruber hit the nail on the head for me. I’ll have my Mini when I want a bigger reading screen.
@jsnell Good article. I’ve decided to buy the 18 Pro Max (& did) plus the new iPad mini to be my “folding” phone.
@jsnell i love my little iPad mini
@jsnell mini die-hard here, my only hope for the new one is the ability to plug it into a screen and get a proper desktop situation like the rest of the iPad line. Otherwise a flawless little device
@jsnell I just sold my iPad mini 5th gen in anticipation of getting a new one. I’m hoping the OLED rumours turn out to be true, but no matter what I’m looking forward to the upgrade.
