ugh all these movies shot with digital cameras -- so dull and lifeless, desaturated flat gray sludge amirite

"Wild Horse Nine" (2026), shot on Alexa (digital)

If you're' interested in visual effects, you HAVE to watch this segment of Corridor Crew where ILM's Beth D'Amato shows off just a few shots of the amazing paint work she has done.

Who do we talk to at Apple about this:

You own a TV show or a movie that you bought from Apple, playing it on an Apple TV box. When the episode or movie is almost done the TV show or movie SHRINKS TO THE CORNER OF THE SCREEN — WE DON’T WANT THAT TO HAPPEN on stuff that we have purchased EVER EVER EVER

I hate it for streaming services too but when you do it with purchases, I feel like that crosses a line.

bad bad bad bad

I finally saw “The Devil Wears Prada 2” (2026) and it’s hilarious that thousands of posts, articles and videos warned us this “dark, muddy” film would herald the END OF CINEMATOGRAPHY. It looked… fine!

What a waste of outrage.

Friends, don’t forget to do the 3 S’s today:

1. Stand. Take a short moment to stand from your desk.
2. Stretch. Slowly raise your arms up and stretch towards the sky. And as you do so:
3. Scream. Out loud. Just a good ol’ “AAAHHHHH!!!” will do. Add a lil flair with a short, but cathartic “NOOOOOO” or “FUCK THE SYSTEM” to feel even better.

Good job. Don’t forget to do this a few more times today!

A new watchOS 27 feature that I actually like:

I’ve always been a “list view” guy for the app view, so I was skeptical of this new mini-grid view of my most recently/frequently used apps…. but after using it a bit, I like it! To see all your apps just scroll the Digital Crown a bit.
