    @noybeu

    Teilen, was das Zeug hält!

@noybeu „The Privacy Offenders“ and the worst of them, the no.1 offender noone less than the infamous Axel Voss. Of course he had to be this far up on this list. Damn these „conservative“ and openly right-wings.

@noybeu Thank you for putting this together.

None of it surprising, all of it remains shocking. The EPP effectively in charge of things, with VDL being aligned as well, is just a disaster.

@noybeu The mail button on the MEP info page has an additional "mailto:" prefix, so the email address need manual fiddling to send correctly

@noybeu is Renew so internally divided that they have most of the individual MEP's that are privacy advocates, but as a whole are neutral on the matters?

@noybeu reminds me of the seminal #lobbyplag by @yetzt et al back when the GDPR was drafted, and even back then Voss was the Super Villain. What made LobbyPlag special, is that the amendments were tracked back to the lobby organizations (and their clients) who proposed these amendments to the MEPs. so you could say Am#xxxx sponsored by Amazon, for example.

back then, @parltrack provided the amendments to lobbyplag, super proud to have contributed to the most awesome EP project to until now.

screenshot of a website, header says LobbyPlag, showing an overview. Top-left quadrant shows a map of EU with countries colored red and green, top-right quadrant shows parliamentary groups stats how many good/bad amendments they support. at the bottom you see a part of a list of MEPs on the left the villains in red, on top Axel Voss, on the right the Superheros in green, on top Jan-Phillip Albrecht - the rapporteur of the GDPR in the EP.

@noybeu For most of the people in both sides of the list, these kind of laws could be the most boring ever.
I see people graduated in echonomics, politics, communication, but very few (even the fighting ones) in IT related fields.
Maybe, just maybe, being so far away from the matter is the real issue.

@noybeu No surprise that Conservatives and right-wing MEP show tle least trust in EU citizens, but bring up most privacy-violating motions.

They have been doing this for long now, so rest assured they don't trust you, but want you pressed under the yoke of surveillance capitalism and give Big Tech all they want.

They will continue on their crusade, if they are not stopped. Take every chance to protest and vote them out of office.

People before Business! Conservatives are, as always, just exploiting human beings and nature. They are not wardens that act responsible and protect our right to privacy. :ablobcatneon:

I think it's a shame (from an EU perspective) that all the Share icons are for US-subject, global Data-thieving, Privacy-destroying "social network" corps. :blobunsure:

@Quantillion Hi, do you mean on noyb.eu? That has technical reasons, but our IT team is already working on an implementation of Mastodon. In the meantime, you can always copy the URL 😊

Have done, of course. It's more about backing up the argument for privacy (which is anathema to all those networks).😉

Yikes. And of course there are 3 Germans among the 5 worst offenders. When Germany is supposed to be really keen on privacy, what with two authoritarian states leveraging the power of surveillance against their own people, in short succession.

And, interestingly, the top 5 champions are all female.

...and... nobody from the #Pirateparty in there? I'm surprised.
