🇩🇪 The Berlin DPA (Data Protection Authority) has reprimanded several major German political parties (#CDU, #SPD, BÜNDNIS 90/DIE GRÜNEN, #DIELINKE) for using sensitive political interests to target internet users with personalised political #advertising.

⚖️ The complaint against the far-right party #AfD is currently still pending.

👤 Such "microtargeting" is only possible because online platforms create extensive user profiles, making it a threat to democratic elections. 🚨

👉 Die Beschwerde gegen die AfD ist noch anhängig. Obwohl sie ebenfalls politisches Microtargeting verwendete, focht sie (bislang erfolglos) die Ermittlungsbefugnisse der Berliner Behörde vor Gericht an.
