    mutual aid request please 🌱

    (i’m so sorry, but)
    i had to stop working in may due to a serious deterioration in my health. things are pretty bad here now to the point where i need (and want! i miss it :bunhdsad:) to start again, but my thumb and shoulder keep dislocating and i’m sometimes too weak to stand. and it’s not even safe for the kiln/fire until this horrendous heat ends.



    i’m a disabled, chronically ill and autistic nonbinary sculptor living with my husband and our two cats, one of whom also has chronic illness. my business has been decimated since the introduction of the tariffs last autumn and the global economic situation, and now my health is collapsing too.



    i’ve finally, miraculously got a GP (hooray!) who's helping me apply for disability benefits. but it could be a year before i know if i'm approved, and i don’t know what we’ll do till then: she isn’t treating me as she doesn’t know how to deal with my illnesses. and there’s no cure anyway.



    husband works as much as he can, but he can’t make enough for us both. rent and bills are due, the cat and i need health stuff, and our electricity bill’s going to be through the roof because we’ve had to keep fans on during the heatwave (we’ve had 43/110 this week). so if anyone is able send us a few currency units, we’d be very grateful.

    @moonrabbit I had to cancel a reservation *past* the "deposit refund" time and they even said on the phone it was past the time.... but today I got it credited!! (Lesson: YES pick up the phone and talk to person, the online would not have done that.) I shared with some bats so I'm sharing with you too :P

    i know :eariz_bun_cry: i’m so hoping it really is about to turn around for you

    i’m okay, yes, and thank you for asking :bunhdheart: fielding some ongoing health issues of my own (nothing like yours though, bless you to the moon) and my spoons have been low but i have really, really missed the community here so i am making a pointed effort to stay caught up on at least my favorites list every day. i’m three days running so far and no regrets (no real energy drain, which amazes me actually, and feels like a smol miracle).

    it is always lovely to see posts from you, too ^◡^ ♡

    i hope things settle for you and/or that you find a rhythm that works. we all have these ebbs and flows i think; we've just got to sail with the winds as best we can. which is sometimes a challenge! but onwards, and all that. (as for us, there has to be a path and i'm just missing it ??)

    i think spoons get harder to find as the world takes more from us, but i hope you can find a store of them, hidden away somewhere.
