An interesting perspective considering Amazon has laid off 30,000 corporate employees in the past year as part of an AI efficiency push instead of giving workers 3-day workweeks because AI can do some of their work.
@carnage4life Oh, #AI "could" provide these benefits, sure.
But since it's owned by sociopathic billionaires, you can be certain that all we proles will get is more work, more surveillance, and more misery.
@carnage4life he said "could". He never said it would.
You have to watch out for those worm-tongued balls of lard and spite. They learned long ago that people don't actually listen to what they say.
@carnage4life Probably he will be very picky who will get that one income per family.
Probably something to do with pronatalist and trad-wife fash-trash.
@carnage4life They are ghouls, not saviours.
@carnage4life
The “for C-Suite executives” is implied.
@carnage4life on minimal wage?
@carnage4life But profitsssiss
Oct 8, 2026, 6:41 PM@carnage4life Jeff Bezos, you and what army are going to stop every narcissist in the universe from leveraging this to just enslaving their "flying monkeys" even worse.
@carnage4life only for the happy few...
@carnage4life Jeff Bezos could already allow this for his employees.
If AI -- didn't Bezos get the White House memo declaring those who still say "AI" enemies of the state -- could ever enable a 3-day work week and financially stable, one-income families, Jeff Bezos would be the first guy to prevent that outcome.
Jeff forgot to say : "if only it actually worked and didn't turn into a social, economic, ethical, political, and ecological disaster..."
@carnage4life Guessing he's also meaning 3 days' work for 3 days' pay, not 3 days' work for 5 days' pay.
@carnage4life The people selling us AI are the same people who will never pay their taxes, that's how little they care about society in general.
When the bill for *civilization* comes due, they shirk. That's really all we need to know about them.
@carnage4life maybe they started with the one income families part of the plan.
So we're technically half there. How efficient is that.
@carnage4life Could, but won’t.
@carnage4life Yes, sure, I will take the word of the motherfucker whose company's employees have to pee in bottles to reach targets.
