    Hoping for the best for our country tomorrow. I’m not super knowledgeable about politics or an extreme leftist or anything, and some people have been kinda condescending about that, but I believe in stuff. When I was a little kid, influential adults in my life helped me learn what’s important and I carry it with me still in who I am and how I conduct my life. I believe in the earth, in kindness, in creativity, and in love goddamn it. I feel like almost nothing in this nation reflects what I know to be right but I also believe it can change. Again, you can laugh at me for being naive. I don’t give a shit; this is my country too and we have to live here so I’m going to hope like heck as much as I can.

    @Jgbird I hear you... I was raised a certain way, that made sense to me at the time, but I've had to un-learn a lot of that as I've grown and realized that it didn't make sense in the world we live in today. I'm a LOT different now, hoping for the best, doing what I can. For awhile, cynicism felt fashionable and "sophisticated", and the temptation is still there, but ultimately I think now I prefer hope to despair, regardless of what happens.

    @Jgbird No need to be an extreme leftist, extremes are scary. Go with kindness as you stated, rather than extremes. And yes, vote.

    @Jgbird I'm sorry people have been condescending, and some people are just very shouty. Everything left of center covers a lot of ground and I think we need people covering all of that ground. I have respect for everyone who is trying to make the world a better place, even if I don't join in all of their methods.

    Your gift to the world is your kindness, that must lead to animals letting you photograph them so close, thank you for sharing!
