A Foggy Day in Bham Town, exposes the hard work of some local web designers

the obsession with ritual continues unabated 😅

I wasn't sure if #MusicMonday was a thing or not, I guess not 😅 I guess the weekday-themed hashtags are one of my fond aspects of this site, they lend themselves well to my obsessive ritual-based personality. I've been a music person for most of my life, long before I started learning pictures as a language of expression, I've just never really shared that here, this page has always been a photography thing for no particular reason, just habit I guess. But seeing one of the people who got me inspired to start exploring pictures, also being willing to be vulnerable with the music side of themselves, kinda gave me the courage to try that out here as well, so Jerome, here's that rainy day ❤️

the few days there's sun out, need to take advantage, as the fall colors are really happening right now

and a rare selfie 😁 the jazz jam I do on Sunday nights takes place in the ground-level bar of a local hotel, and nearby, the cast of Twin Peaks was doing a "meet the cast" event, which I had heard about, but completely forgotten the date on, but as it turns out, they were staying in that same hotel overnight, so when I left the jazz thing, they happened to just be hanging out in the lobby, and were polite enough to humor my request for a quick picture! I've listened to the soundtrack a fair amount, and *kinda* knew some of the noodly jazz vibes riffs, and I'm kicking myself that I didn't think to play some for them at the time... missed opportunities, ah well.

#ThrowbackThursday just a crazy old looking calculator at the office, probably older than the building 😆

I was torn between two versions of this - this one, and one lighter one. I'd solicited opinions from friends, who universally voted for the lighter one. I had THOUGHT I was undecided, but my instinctive resistance to their unanimous opinion told me I actually DID have a preference 😅 they were right that the lighter one provided more details on the spider, but I realized that I've gotten better details on these fellows in the past, and "silhouettes" are my current new genre to explore, plus gives it a nice dash of spoop for the season :p so while I hate to balk public opinion that I myself solicited, I'm glad that I had the courage to stand up for my own opinion even if it was unpopular ^^

an unexpected ecosystem, or maybe an urban whale fall, or maybe my morbid fascination with even garbage leads to #MagicInTheMundane moments not shared by many, but still equally intriguing to me as the nature scenes
