Ok, let’s try to create a counterpoint to all that negative crazy stuff you get exposed to when doomscrolling: post your favorite photo of your #cat or #cats below and if there is a story to it, please share it, too.
Please don’t forget to add an ALT text!
I’ll start: we did prepare Christmas present for friends and family to post them later and Akira had to climb the tower of boxes!
@dec_hl Naturally too many favourites, but here’s my good boi very, very much looking forward to “making a new friend”…
@GrumpusNation @dec_hl Beautiful baby!
Sep 17, 2026, 5:55 PM@dec_hl my cat likes to sleep in bike tyres
@wlukewindsor I know rubber chickens and rubber ducks, rubber cats are new!
@dec_hl I love Akira!
This was Charley, the Curmudgeonly. The story here is that we got a whole new bed and made our old bed into a guest bed. My mom had made a quilt for it, and as I spread it on there, he jumped up to claim it, like "Look: a whole cat bed just for me. It will do, human. I accept your offering."
@kimlockhartga @dec_hl That was so nice of you, finally giving him his own bed. 😂
Rosa outside a few months ago in the middle of grooming. Distracted by a bird or squirrel 🤣
This is my favorite: Jack blissfully enjoying cuddling with my wife a few days after he was adopted.
@Workshopshed had one to many 🥂

Violin-maker's cat (a rare breed) at work.
@dec_hl Here's Nibbler at the vet, looking not very repentant about scratching his favorite human, my son. Not even when the evidence of his crime is presented to his face. What a rogue. ❤️❤️❤️
@spiegelmama yeah, dangerous predator behind bars 😂
Salome at about three months old.
@davefischer that is some large prey she got there 🤣 🥰
The mighty hunter!
Sep 17, 2026, 9:46 PM@dec_hl Here is Phasma being super-cute. Never mind she is on the dining table...
