@Thorium The day I bought three cabochons was the first time I had ever seen it. The geologist I bought it from at the Pow Wow rock show in Quartzsite, AZ told me he was the original discover of the stone in Indonesia, where he used to live. He also provided me with the name of the lapidary who turned the stones into cabochons. I did notice some slabs available online when I did research on another stone yesterday. Otherwise, I haven't seen it anywhere else.

@Dolphinchaz Thanks! It is incredibly tedious work, although I did get all of the pendants and beaded necklaces photographed yesterday. I'll do the earrings today.

I discovered yesterday that I had not updated my online shop since November 25, 2025.😳 It's amazing to me that I sold two things from the online shop in October and both of them were still in inventory. I guess that says a lot about how sales went in 2026.🙄

@mlanger Yes, it's a bit of a slog if you have loads of individual items to do, but then you go into 'production line' mode and before you know it the jobs done. My wife had the same problem with stuff not being sold, it's not been a good trading year.

@Dolphinchaz I hear you on production line mode. It does make things go more quickly, but it's a challenge for me to stick with it until I'm done.

The economy sucks. People are not treating themselves or others to things they do not need. While my earring sales aren't bad at art shows, pendants are a hard sell. It's a real shame. Although I make more (percentage wise) on earrings, I prefer making pendants. They are a lot more interesting to me. But I can't make something if it doesn't sell.🤷🏼‍♀️

@mlanger True - you have to make what sells. The past few years have been weird, trade wise - the publics buying habits have shifted, and trying to work it out is hard 🤔🙁

@Dolphinchaz They want cheap. Nothing I make is cheap. That's why I didn't do any shows to speak of this year. I felt as if I might be wasting my time.

The two sales I got online were a real surprise. They were both to the same person but a day or two apart. I shipped to a mailing facility in Miami so I suspect they will be shipped overseas. I can't deal with tariffs and customs paperwork so I don't ship outside the US.
