    @libreoffice Quote:

    MS Publisher is not the first Microsoft application to disappear from the market, and it certainly won’t be the last. Each time, users are faced with the same question: who controls access to my documents? If the format is proprietary, the answer is: the vendor. If the format is standard and open, such as ODF, the answer is: the user.

    So true, so very true.

    @libreoffice LibeOffice is wonderful in many ways. It would be good to have a distraction-free mode like in the later MS Word versions, though (yeah, I know, but MS Word has been around so long it seems etched into our genes)...

    @libreoffice I find LibreOffice Calc to be far more reliable and usable than MS Excel for xlsx and especially csv files. Thank you for your work.

    @libreoffice LibreOffice Draw is also my tool of choice to open PDFs with forms that I need to fill in. Placing text and the occasional image in the right places seems easiest with that.

    The only drawback I have found is that it may substitute fonts of the original, which may result in a different look and occasionally even wrapped lines and such (note: this refers to a very old version and may no longer be the case).
