It’s this amazing trick I found only in my last year of work.

@jpsays @carnage4life My problem is usually that my regular work hours are 8-4 or whatever so, on paper, a 3-4 meeting is okay. But I'm mentally checked out by noon on a Friday and shouldn't be trusted to make any consequential decisions.
I also may be out on a bike.

I actually blocked my calendar to show “busy” during lunch, mornings, evenings, and once I knew I was retiring, also all of Fridays (it was this way for a year). (The point being, you can show others how best to collaborate this way.)
I ignored or declined every meeting which was in conflict. The only folks who complained were those I already knew were a problem to work with. Everyone else just figured it out or asked for help with a suggestion.

Mine was always until 10a pacific. Lol.
But I also worked until 7, so everyone’s schedules are different.
