    Okay so to be clear, I’m not mad at anyone, no-one needs to apologize, etc, but:

    I get a really surprising number of requests to bring Odin to the city center while someone’s in Amsterdam. As much as I enjoy a nice little outing with him, the reality is that I am a very sickly person, it takes a lot out of me, and takes a lot of time. I’ve ended up just… not replying most of the time, because I feel bad explicitly turning people down.

    So I ask to please not ask this of me if we’re strangers/very light internet acquaintances. Please only ask if our connection is more solid. If I specifically say I’ll be at an event with Odin, trying to arrange to cross paths while you’re there is fine.

    Should I ever be in Amsterdam then I would be happy to travel to a convent local to you venue to meet you and Odin.

    Frankly it seems a little rude to expect you both to travel so I have might have the pleasure to see you both 🙂🤷‍♂️

    The absurdity of parasocial relationships is hilarious until it directly affects you.

    Relevant example: while I feel really shitty that this happens to you, I'm positive that if we were traveling anywhere even close to you (we are not), my middle schooler's first request would be to see Odin.

    Keep being awesome & properly prioritizing your own well-being.

    @0xabad1dea very much tone-deaf main character moves. Sorry you get these. People should just be happy enjoying Odin vicariously through you. I hope you didn’t take my PS the other day as a request, it definitely wasn’t intended to be.

    @0xabad1dea being Internet famous sounds like exhausting. If I walk my dog somewhere that’s already a huge expenditure of energy. People bugging me to do it more often would probably irk me a lot. 😞
