Again and again, Trump reveals his secrets the same way children sometimes do.
Right after Secretary of State Marco Rubio says that the US administration is going after The International Criminal Court (whose job it is to prosecute war criminals), Trump immediately chips in, “There is no indication they are going after me” — because of course that fear is precisely their motive for trying to delegitimize the court.

But apparently, it's okay for a US regime to send its military to invade a South American country, kidnap its leader, and transport him to the Metropolitan Detention Center (MDC) in Brooklyn, New York.

That's not even the worst part.
They call the ICC illegitimate because they go after non-members.
I'm not a member of the Danish police force. Does that make them an illegitimate police force if they pull me over for speeding?
If you allow criminals to simply say "I'm not a member" and walk away freely, you don't have a justice system. You have an honors system.

Anyway, it was the US that insisted on the Nuremberg trials. The US created the precedent for the ICC.

Yes, sovereign citizens was what I was thinking of, but ended up not fitting in my comment.
And indeed they did, but that was a different time, when US interests were - shall we say less aligned - with the bad guys in this world.

@randahl Can someone tell me WTF the pols (and it's not just Assclownicans) are signalling with those stupid flag pins they all feel compelled to wear? Do they even know? Is it a secret playground club the toddlers are in? Is there some doubt about which dysfunctional country they pretend to "serve"? I so want to reposition those pins to the tips of all their noses.

@randahl Sheer arrogance. The ICC is an international court which the US foesn't even belong to. Trump and Rubio should try doing things that are less shady and sort out the many issues plagueing the US. This is just another distraction.
