Oh my goodness, there's a brisk breeze blowing, and on that breeze, someone upwind has some SERIOUS issues with their septic tank, or there's a honeywagon spillage going on that is something definitely not necessarily to our advantage.
A while back a pipe broke at the camp site causing, er, exposure. I hope that's not the problem again.
But I can assure you, whoever's septic system this is, they eat really well. 💩

@HelenLockhart @withaveeay Someone agitating their slurry tank before spreading on the fields? Common after silage has been cut. Manure from chicken farms is the worst imaginable, though it’s not a slurry. 🤮
@HarriettMB @HelenLockhart We don't have cattle farms like that here or other forms of slurry tanks, other than for/from humans. This fruitiness really could only have been a septic tank.

Counter-intuitively, I would suggest that your neighbours are probably using too much cleaning products, especially bleach. The cleaning products suppress or kill the bacteria that normally digest the human waste in the septic tank. If the tank bacteria are functioning correctly, there shouldn't be a smell.
@fitheach Yeah, folk here know how to manage septic tanks. I'm pretty sure this was a something from the camp site.
