I noticed a sheep floating in the overflowing burn this morning. I thought I'd better pull the thing out on the off chance of it still being alive.
So off I went in the wet and the boggy approaches, just a few minutes after waking up, doing duty like a good neighbour.
It was only when I got right up to the "sheep" that I found it was foam gathered from the angry burn. Even then I wasn't convinced, as it looked like floating fleece.
Reader, I got soaked.
This morning, the little burn that was tranquil and calming is roaring and moody having had to cope with 42mm of rain in the last 18 hours.
What? You want more water calm?
Oh, OK then.

You know that thing when you forget the password for the scanner, but you're fairly sure you roughly know it? Then over several days, you try all kinds of combinations none of which work, and you can't reset it without all the settings going too. Then idly try repeating the password and weirdly eventually you hit on it, and you're in?
Then discover that you know yourself, and had written the password in pencil underneath the device....
People think it's easy being an idiot, but it's hard work.
Oh my goodness, there's a brisk breeze blowing, and on that breeze, someone upwind has some SERIOUS issues with their septic tank, or there's a honeywagon spillage going on that is something definitely not necessarily to our advantage.
A while back a pipe broke at the camp site causing, er, exposure. I hope that's not the problem again.
But I can assure you, whoever's septic system this is, they eat really well. 💩

Hooray! The local mast has been repaired. Someone locally was hounding EE, and whoever looks after the mast finally got someone to attend to the problem today. He was told that "the problem was underground," whatever that means. Normal service was restored earlier this afternoon.
That could have been a lot worse, based on previous responses to mast issues in the area.
