Herein hangs a tale, or possibly a tail.
I noticed a sheep floating in the overflowing burn this morning. I thought I'd better pull the thing out on the off chance of it still being alive.
So off I went in the wet and the boggy approaches, just a few minutes after waking up, doing duty like a good neighbour.
It was only when I got right up to the "sheep" that I found it was foam gathered from the angry burn. Even then I wasn't convinced, as it looked like floating fleece.
Reader, I got soaked.
