I’m not going to edit that post. Context, and all that. Moving on…
As I may have mentioned, I’ve been here four years now. In that time I’ve made lots of new friends, shared ups and downs, and been kept informed just enough to keep anger on the simmer. Thanks, everyone! Here’s to more years of fedifun!
Decisions, decisions. Do I bother with warpaint to go to Morrisons? A part of me says I should make a bit of an effort. Another part says why bother, it’s just a supermarket trip.
Currently siding with part two.
And, of course, thankful that I get to make such decisions.
Au naturelle was the order of the day. One of the friendly staff I’ve known for years was on the checkout, so we had a bit of chat while I tried to put all my groceries neatly in bags.
On my walk. Oh my! The council has found some cash and are surfacing the woodland path. It’s going to make it better in the wet.
Nov 5, 2026, 10:44 AM@snaptophobic Key word "tried"?
Challenge passed?
Nothing fell out betwixt trolley and car, so that counts as a win.
@snaptophobic While you were worrying about warpaint I decided that a bit of cleavage was in order for the vacuuming and loading the dishwasher.
Living the dream?
I’m so glad we can laugh about these things!
@snaptophobic
Au naturelle!
Oh my! 😳
Just for the avoidance of doubt, I wore regulation clothing during my shop. It’s just my face that wasn’t covered by anything. 😉
@snaptophobic That is good news.
@snaptophobic unless Morrisons is secretly the answer to your dating query of the other day
Unlikely, to say the least. The time of day I go there it’s mostly the Pensioners On Parade.
@snaptophobic
I wasn't sure what age range was in your search parameters! 😄
@Erased_Citizen @Maker_of_Things
Well, mature, but not past the sell-by date. 🤣
@snaptophobic
Not hanging around the Clearance Aisle looking for yellow labels then. 🤣
@snaptophobic @Maker_of_Things @Erased_Citizen This thread cheered me up! Must get moving. Thanks all.
@Maker_of_Things @snaptophobic I feel like I would have multiple yellow stickers by now, gradually bringing me down to 1p
@Erased_Citizen
Awww, There is always bin food, that is often much appreciated by those in the know. 😉
@snaptophobic maybe actual warpaint? I'm thinking Adam Ant from the Kings of the Wild Frontier era, darling.
Yes! Perfect. 😆
@snaptophobic
Happy anniversary! I've no idea when mine is but I wish I'd made a note so I could mark it 🥰
It’s on your profile page. Happy fediversary for the 24th!
@snaptophobic Aha! Thank you. Can't believe I didn't think of that! 😳
@autoperipatetikos @snaptophobic
I have moved instances so many times that I can't remember when I actually joined the Fediverse.
Edit: 01 May 2022 maybe? On Mastodon dot social.
@autoperipatetikos @Maker_of_Things
I think I struck lucky when it came to choosing an instance. I hope it’ll stay that way, too. 🙂
@snaptophobic @autoperipatetikos
I am happy here, but I had to find my way a bit.
I was happy at my last instance but sadly it closed.
