#introduction
Hello! I'm Robin, an illustrator from Chile. I got here because of the current state of AI in every platform I use, and I'm finally done with it.
I mostly do fanart but I also have tons of OCs that I'd like to show here.
Maybe this will help me start drawing more.
I'd love some help on how to start here, how can I make my art discoverable?
Oct 22, 2026, 11:34 AM@robeean moomin art! And very pretty at that! x33
@robeean Welcome Robin! I'm looking forward to seeing more of your work, it looks great.
Oct 22, 2026, 12:07 PM@robeean hola!!!
bienvenidx!!!
Oct 22, 2026, 12:08 PM@robeean you can make it discoverable by using the appropriate hashtags on the subjects, techniques and mediums you use. There is no algorithm here, so everything goes by hashtags.
@erikcats That's amazing, hashtags doing their hashtag job! (I hope I'm doing the replying thing correctly lol)
Oct 22, 2026, 1:22 PMOct 22, 2026, 2:00 PM@robeean this was as correct as it could ever be 😆🫶🏽
Oct 22, 2026, 1:30 PM@robeean I'm not sure, but I boosted and followed because fuck ai, and more importantly? You make art. Thank you.
@TeflonTrout thank you!! fuck AI!
@robeean Hello Robin, your art is beautiful. Wishing you the best and saludos desde Ecuador.
@robeean welcome!! 🎉
@robeean Moomin all the way from Chile! I am sure Tove would have approved.
(I hear a Swedish Finnish accent in my head as soon as Moomin is brought up, because that’s what Tove spoke and what one of the early shows used. Somehow my brain even applied it to English :))
@robeean Welcome!
Human-made art is encouraged here.
Oct 22, 2026, 4:48 PM@robeean
just keep posting cool pics and getting boosted 😉
@robeean
I'm looking forward to seeing your vision of the groke, my favourite Moomin character.
@robeean Snufkin!! Very good :)
Oct 22, 2026, 11:54 PM@robeean I am not an artist, but one similar to you who is in the fediverse and is successful is David Revoy https://www.davidrevoy.com/
Maybe @davidrevoy can advise you?
@robeean bienvenid@ vecin@! Mucha suerte! :blobcatBlush:
@robeean
The best way is to get the people who have seen your posting boost them. But appropriate hashtags help also.
@robeean
And welcome! We're always glad to see new people join. I hope your experience on the Fediverse is positive. Please remember that it will take some time to gain a large following, since there is no "Algorithm" driving engagement. At first that may seem like a problem, but really it's a huge advantage.
@brouhaha tysm! yes I will try to be patient 🫡 It all seems so fun so far
@robeean yay moomin
