Hey, I heard LLMs are all the rage right now, so… what do you think of my Large Lizard Model? :dragn_bottom:

The apprentice has asked: "Master, what's the difference between a smart home, and a normal home?"
"In a normal home, when there is no light, the first thing you check is the fuse."
"And in a smart home?"
"DNS."

we are streaming at http://thelakesystem.nl:8080

we will be streaming some train sim world, doing a full shift, starting up a loco, coupling to some wagons, doing a full brake check, moving it where it needs to go, and returning as a light loco

I'm sure that's a good idea 🥴

300mg Bupropion and 15mg brintelix -> 0

Day two without antidepressants btw 🥴

Siri, show me the ADHD meme that goes harder than any other...

i think there should be a 24 hour gap between days. there, i said it. :blobcattea:

My favorite part of autumn is finding all of the squirrels 🧡

Saphira, stop it already!

Before people go all in on Typst, I’d like them to consider the wisdom of replacing TeX, software that is:

- Absolutely finished
- Essentially bug free
- Written in a simple, highly portable language
- Extremely general
- Backwards compatible with decades old code

…with a commercial product that relies on an enormous tangled web of dependencies amounting to millions of lines of code for something which is far less general than that which it replaces

What makes software engineering so challenging - more often than not - is people.

I've worked with a bunch of technically very capable devs who routinely failed because they couldn't do the people part.

You can't learn to do it on your own.

Mlem~

I also have a GoPro Hero 9 Black with a bunch of accessories that needs a new home.

Recommended hardware documentation quality measurement protocol

1. Obtain a catgirl. If you do not have a catgirl on retainer, you should be able to find one by visitting a nearby hackerspace and going “pspspsps”
2. Place documentation in front of the catgirl.
3. Wait 20 minutes.
4. Measure the sideways tilt angle at the catgirl’s head. If the catgirl is sitting in a weird position, use the vertical axis as determined by the relevant device screen for documentation viewing.

If at any point the tilt angle exceeds the safe limit as defined in appendix 3b, immediately vacate the area, then contact the Biting Safety Officer assigned to the region. Do not put the hardware on the market.

I enjoy taking my handheld radio frequency jammer to the psychic clairvoyancy events my wife drags me to. The panic on the "psychic's" face when their assistant looking everyone up on social media behind the scenes gets replaced with static in their ear is brilliant.

Question: How fucked is the internet? How fucked is everybody's data on some server? All the new exploits and bazillion AI agents attacking everywhere they can. Any experts out there who can give me a good take?

Turns out I have another Homestuck friend x33

EEEEEEEEEEEEEEeeeeeeeeeeee!!!
