As you know, I love animals. That's why I built #Pawfed: https://pawfed.org/

It is fully built on #ActivityPub and lets people share messages with #OpenStreetMap to help our animal friends: https://pawfed.org/how-it-works

I clearly cannot make it work on my own, and it hurts a bit to fail when everything is already done. If you want to join the project to promote it and validate messages, you are welcome.

In the picture, Haru the black cat found his home after 2 years in a shelter.

So does anyone have any idea why #sunup keeps spamming me with the following notifications?

I've already set "Inform about new registrations" to false, but I'm still getting these messages.

I've installed @apps from F-Droid so I need Sunup for notifications.

Oh, hello! Have a nice #Caturday

I just learned my home city is starting to extract heat from sewage. They say the peak output of such an extraction facility will be 50MW and it'll be feeding the heat back to the city's heating network. Interesting!

Fuck #Windows. How is one supposed to run a secure erase of a USB2 connected external HDD without sitting at the computer and moving the mouse every once in a while to prevent the OS from going to power save and halting the process?

It's a 1TB drive. One pass write takes about 8 hours.

Yeah I guess I could fiddle with power saving settings to get around that, but why bother when I can just plug the disk to a RPi, SSH in and start dd in a screen session?

Like owner, like #cat.

Have a lazy #Caturday afternoon!

If had to guess I would say our household #Cats are just infiltrators on a mission to soften and domesticate us humans in order to prepare ground for their wild and stray comrades' final assault.

Those sneaky little furbags.

Oh, hello!

Time for a #Caturday afternoon #catnap .

Good meowing everyone!

great time. But still.... zombies, RPGs, machine guns. And she just turned 11 in December.

So my kid comes to me and starts lecturing me about some game in Roblox where she had to survive a fight agaist zombies. I hear about things like RPGs, machine guns, swords, zombies exploding, severed zombie heads.. you get the picture.

Now, she's 11. And while she's really excited about it, I silently in my little mind ask myself a question: I'm doing this #parenting thing right, ...right?

I sense absolutely no anxiety in her, though, on the contrary she seems like she had a really (...)

so #Cats have like zero regard for personal space.

I don't think I'd ever even consider walking on a person lying on a couch.

A #cat just goes on like the person is the couch.

I wonder if one can embed toots on web page... u know, like you can do with tweets.
