    @amydiehl Are you kidding me? This magical pixie dust was supposed to have cured cancer by now. It can't be that it was smoke, mirrors, and various forms of shit!

    This post is sarcasm.

    @amydiehl The lack of awareness is astounding: " "Microsoft found that adding agents to a broken process still leaves a broken process” and “speeding up one step just creates a longer queue at the next.” "

    Like who would've thought that would happen when people abdicate responsibility for thinking?

    @amydiehl I think there'll be a lot more of this nonsense before companies realise AI shouldn't be used to replace thinking. At best, it should be a supplement, not substitute.

    And this is also why organisations should consult a service designer or business analyst before automating everything. You know - the people they sacked because they thought AI could replace them.

    @opoponax @amydiehl It's called "Agile" remember!

    My small part of the organisation is perfect while everyone else that I rely on is terrible and holding me up.

    Sounds like an AI business opportunity. CleanSlop, the AI AI slop cleaner. The Silicon Valley Hwy 101 billboard writes itself. All we need is $100M, and we can IPO at $10B easy. It doesn't have to work. Hell, none of this stuff works. That's the whole point of CleanSlop! There is so much slop out there that needs cleaning. What VC could resist. Everyone will want some of the CleanSlop action.

    Mich wundert das nicht.

    Der Umgang mit einer neue Technologie muss erst erlernt werden. Es gibt keine Lehrer. Alles wird zu Try&Error - vorausschauendes Handeln im ethischen Sinne, würde ich von Profitgeiern ohnehin nicht erwarten.

    I know people in the industry, who have been 'forced' to use it as part of their job.

    One company suddenly found itself paying hundreds of thousands extra on 'tokens' because they forced their staff to use it, got rid of some of the 'experience' and have had to restrict use/access to stop them going under. They even tried to re-hire a couple of people they let go... and had to pay them more money as 'consultants' to fix the rot they caused.

    It was always a pyramid scheme... and it was always destined to collapse under it's own bullshit... it's going to happen... sooner the better.

    My little company asked our website vendor to do a simple update to two pages and a simple refresh. She has yet to admit that she used AI to completely wreck our site AND instead of giving us a beta as is customary to approve before going live... the AI just wrecked our live site. It's a disaster and God knows how much of her time it will take her to fix it. And if she can't fix it she's fired and we'll have to pay someone new to do it. #AI
