I'm visually impaired and use a white cane. When a car is stopped across a pedestrian crossing controlled by lights and I have the green light it's getting a few very hard wacks of my cane. Your paint isn't as important as my safety and hopefully you understand why.

@dav1d @fesshole for that to happen the driver would also have to admit to running a red light when a vulnerable road user is on the crossing, which is also a serious offence.

when I was on my (legal) ebike a few years back I ended up knocking off a wingmirror of a car that turned across my path (having misjudged that I can go a bit faster than a normal pushbike) - I didn't do this out of malice but simply to steady myself and not get knocked down.

Was fully expecting the Police to want words with me about this incident (at the time ebikes were uncommon, I was one of the few people in town who had one and it would be relatively easy to find out where I worked), but nothing came of it - certainly the driver (who had kids in his car) didn't report it..

@fesshole Yeah I've done this before as well. I hate it when people just park wherever and make it really fucking hard to navigate properly

@fesshole My blind friend walked through a backseat of a car when that happened. The driver wasn't impressed. Lol!
