Can’t sleep, everyone else is going on holiday. They leave at 2AM. Can wait to run round in my undies and eat things I shouldn’t.

ScummVM 2026.4.0 "Never-slop" is released on the 25th anniversary!

It is hard to believe, but a quarter-century and a couple of days ago, the ScummVM Project saw its first public commit by Ludvig Strigeus aka ludde.

So many things have changed, and we continue to follow our new release cadence. Without further ado, let's discuss what is coming with the 2026.4.0 release.

If we count correctly, there are 192 newly supported games and 11 new engines!

We’ve been talking about this for years.

None of these far-right movements are organic.

The experimental melon growing this year did not go well :) #Gardening

Is there any mushroom equivalent to #mosstodon? Can’t sleep and looking at the mushrooms above the fireplace.

EDIT thanks to the replies have learned it’s #Mushtodon

Mercury Arc Rectifier from #gaussfest

Edit: It appears to be sorted now. Rather than being a network issue, it appears to have been an Apple TV issue. One clean restore later and it doesn't appear to be having any troubles.

Thanks for the replies and boosts.

Can anyone who knows home networking help me track something down?

When playing games on the Steam Link app on our Apple TV, every eight minutes something causes the stream to stutter for a few seconds. I don't know what it is, and I don't know how to track it down.

I don't think it's the PC I'm streaming from, because I tried it from my Macbook too, and got the same result.

There are no other noticeable effects to the network. BBC radio streams flawlessly on the iPad in the kitchen, Plex/Jellyfin stream perfectly on the Apple TV.

I'm stumped as to what's causing it. The only difference to the network since it started happening was me installing Azuracast on my server, but I shut that down for a bit this evening and it still happened.

So, yeah, any ideas?

Trying to explain to kids who say that gaming at 60fps is the minimum.

*old man voice* “we used to game at 2fps after a 20 minute cassette tape load.”

Hehe. Made a comment about piracy on #MacGaming Reddit last night. Holy shit, lots of people feel entitled to not pay for anything after buying an incredibly expensive machine.

Finished (didn’t complete) a game for the first time in years. Yes, it’s a mobile game. But still, done something.

Those LLM versions of Adobe software (https://arstechnica.com/ai/2026/10/software-is-over-bold-ai-developer-takes-aim-at-adobe-with-open-source-clones/ ) have been added to homebrew.

Done for the day.

Ok someone help. I’ve had a couple of glasses of wine. A friend has asked me to join a conversation on twitter and I’m instantly angry and annoyed. Trying to point out they’re talking to a bot with the username “HotGirl43216789558886”.

Holy moly. An old school mate asked me to log back into twitter to help them with an argument.
There’s a reason I’ve not logged into that place for years.
Everything makes me angry and I know it’s designed to do that.
Logged on, made a couple of comments and was out ASAP.
May look at the angry replies next year.
Nothing funnier than replying to comments someone made six months ago and forgot about.

Kill the rich.

Again weird stuff on new laptop. After exiting fullscreen Steam games, menu bar apps dontt respond until left for a minute or so. #MacGaming

Boo. Retrying my rom dumps on new laptop. Lost all my progress. Game data was on an external drive. Save files, I’ve discovered, were not.

Been bought Chippy tea in bed. Take that awful week.
