I don't try to disparage students as they are still learning, but it's pretty fucking dumb to commit to avoiding work to such a degree that you're spending more time trying not to do the work than doing the initial work to begin with.

I don't get it. I keep catching them using AI to cheat when they could just write the paper- a far simpler and easier solution- and pass the assignment just fine. The hoops they are jumping through to disguise the generative AI just stick out and make it easier to fail them.
