Catching up for #31DaysOfHalloween with film 21, Rob Zombie's Halloween II (2009). I am sad we won't get his Halloween III.

Dept. of Edu got me; sent me a notification that my loan payments were going up to $780 in Feb. I panicked and recertified for the IDR plan; they quickly accepted it, and while it dropped my payment to $300, those payments start next month.

Should have known they would be quick about that.

Are we ready, as a society, to admit that Rob Zombie's Halloween films are among the better of the franchise?

I don't try to disparage students as they are still learning, but it's pretty fucking dumb to commit to avoiding work to such a degree that you're spending more time trying not to do the work than doing the initial work to begin with.

I don't get it. I keep catching them using AI to cheat when they could just write the paper- a far simpler and easier solution- and pass the assignment just fine. The hoops they are jumping through to disguise the generative AI just stick out and make it easier to fail them.

For today's #31DaysOfHalloween post, I cover Halloween: Resurrection and think there was some potential, though the execution was flawed.

Can't believe I am almost done with yet another Halloween timeline for today's #31DaysOfHalloween post. Thoughts on Halloween H20, a favorite film when I was elven or twelve years old.

It's the 30th installment of my horror column "Graphic Content" for 31 Days of Halloween, and I had to ruin it with Halloween 5.

Social calendar kept me busy, but here is the post for the 15th, this time looking at Halloween 4 (1988) and the best Loomis scene in the franchise: https://hpkomics.com/2026/10/revenge-of-graphic-content-29-halloween-4-1988-loomis-meets-a-kindred-spirit/

Spent too much time editing; technically finished it before midnight, though. Anyway, thoughts on Halloween II (1981) for #31DaysOfHalloween

Today's #31DaysOfHalloween post is about occult and ritualistic imagery present in Tobe Hooper's 1974 classic, The Texas Chainsaw Massacre: https://hpkomics.com/2026/10/revenge-of-graphic-content-27-the-texas-chainsaw-massacre-1974-backwoods-cannibal-magical-thinking/

Wrote today's post for #31DaysOfHalloween through a migraine - I must truly suffer for my art, apparently.

Anyway, thoughts on 1933's The Invisible Man - Universal's greatest monster: https://hpkomics.com/2026/10/revenge-of-graphic-content-26-the-invisible-man-1933-universals-greatest-monster/
