Best thing about this is the VHS cover/poster. My ★★ review of Slaughter High (1986) on Letterboxd: https://boxd.it/gHAuXp #Horror #Hooptober

A great Stephen King adaptation, and more uses of "shitter" as an insult than I've ever seen. My ★★★★ review of Christine (1983) on Letterboxd: https://boxd.it/gFenRx #Horror #Hooptober #StephenKing

Perfectly fine rock band vs. giant ants horror comedy to throw on in the background, but not more than that. My ★★★ review of Dead Ant (2017) on Letterboxd: https://boxd.it/gEfrm7 #Horror #Hooptober

Yeah, I don't mind saying it. I liked this better than Mortal Kombat II. My ★★★ review of Street Fighter (2026) on Letterboxd: https://boxd.it/gRb5Gt #StreetFighter

Perhaps the best meta-film ever made. My ★★★★½ review of One Cut of the Dead (2017) on Letterboxd: https://boxd.it/gDqxET

Well, fuck. (complimentary) My ★★★★ review of Cure (1997) on Letterboxd: https://boxd.it/gBa2JX #Horror #Hooptober

Another unfortunate example of how Tobe Hooper's post-2000s career fell far short of his talents. My ★★ review of Toolbox Murders (2004) on Letterboxd: https://boxd.it/gzlOSn #Horror #Hooptober

I will never understand how people miss that this is satire. My ★★★★ review of Starship Troopers (1997) on Letterboxd: https://boxd.it/gLZFJ5 #StarshipTroopers

The ambiguity of George Romero's vampire(?) story helps make it one of his most disturbing (complimentary) movies. My ★★★½ review of Martin (1977) on Letterboxd: https://boxd.it/gzhryL #Horror #Hooptober

It's a standard found footage horror story that is elevated by the execution. My ★★★★ review of Gonjiam: Haunted Asylum (2018) on Letterboxd: https://boxd.it/gyomRX #Horror #Hooptober #FoundFootage

This goofy little thing has an inspired killer, but not much else going for it. My ★★½ review of Slumber Party Massacre II (1987) on Letterboxd: https://boxd.it/gvkLyr #Horror #Hooptober

A shining example of the "perfectly fine" level of Netflix horror films. My ★★★ review of Re/Member (2022) on Letterboxd: https://boxd.it/gu67Sz #Horror #Hooptober

An SOV classic -- not at all good, but "good." My ★★½ review of Soul of the Demon (1991) on Letterboxd: https://boxd.it/gts0yn) #Horror #Hooptober #SoulOfTheDemon

A lot to like here, but it pales in comparison to many of its contemporaries. My ★★★ review of Murders in the Rue Morgue (1932) on Letterboxd: https://boxd.it/gtlZ8L #Horror Hooptober

Admirable filmmaking, and I'm pretty sure my inability to emotionally connect with it is on me, not it. My ★★★ review of Let's Scare Jessica to Death (1971) on Letterboxd: https://boxd.it/gsrV6f #Horror #Hootober

Everyone talks about the great opening scene; no one talks about the rest. There's a reason for that. My ★★½ review of Ghost Ship (2002) on Letterboxd: https://boxd.it/griXtD #Horror #DarkCastle #Hooptober
