Our 4th Annual Witches' Market presented by Three Corners Pagan Circle is next month and we're working on 20 sec clips to play on the TVs in the hallway where the line will be.
I'm super excited for this event every year. It has drawn between 2500-3500 every year. Only 60 vendors and many sell out.
Here's the first draft of my ad clip. We need to clean up the font on the top.
Not sure if any of you have been following the Sag Moon drama & her Justice Jar. I don't know anything about her other than a bunch of influencers online say she's a POS. I'm not confirming or denying that.
What I WILL say, is that people blasting her for using castor oil in a hex jar don't realize that's fairly common in other regions.
So again, I don't know anything about her or her hex jar, but saw a post with someone criticizing her use of castor oil & I use it myself to trap devils.
Separating the Seeds from the Hulls
I talk about how important regional folk magic is because we have been drifting into a territory online where people are being ridiculed and "corrected" when they share parts of their practice and it's different from others' work....

In our local practice, the elements are not associated with cardinal directions. Water is beneath us (water witching). Fire could be the direction of the coal fields. There's a big lake to the south and mountains to the east of us.
We don't call corners/elements/watchtower.
Our altar is a table to collect offerings, mementos of the occasion - like cornhusk dolls, or photos, or harvested produce, or nuts and seeds collected in the winter, etc.
Witches and that sort,
Question:
How much do you incorporate The Elements into your work? Do you have representations of them on your altar?
Do you cast a circle and call them before you do a ritual or working? Do you work the Watchtowers with the Elements?
Standing on my deck and just watching all the life. Each of the sunflowers is surrounded by multiple species of bees, moths have buzzed by the zinnias, various brown birds flying to and from the feeder and best of all, two male and one female American goldfinches. The female and one male each picked big ass sunflowers to snack on while the other was picking at the zinnias.

Watching The Enchanted from 1984. I can't believe I've never seen this. Great film.
Folk magic is the practice of using what you have on hand. While it doesn't have the gothic richness and allure, some of us are quite happy with a downhome workbench.
