Posts like these ‘what’s the nastiest thing you’ve eaten’ always talk about the most basic ass basic food (durian, pork intestines, natto, century egg)
I find a lot of white bread American food repulsive but you don’t find me posting shit like this

@skinnylatte balut? I mean, Americans reguarly eat eggs scrambled, fried, poached, etc. and eat lots of poultry. I won't go out of my way for it, but I recall it being quite tasty, like roast duck or chicken. Texture was similar to a boiled egg. And durian, I have no explanation for people who dislike durian.
@skinnylatte the worst things I've had to eat have been: a yt australian's tuna mornay, a yt american's potato salad, an english hamburger from a motorway cafe and top of the list (dear lord): surströmming
@skinnylatte A list of the nastiest things I've ever eaten would exclusively be common British foods made with low quality meat products.
@skinnylatte Pasta in avocado "cream" sauce. It was an experiment I will never repeat.
@skinnylatte I had dinner at the mom's of my American ex. I understood that his regular "wow, I thought I didn't like <food> but when you prepare it I do" was not an empty compliment made to flatter me but an actual truth. (What that woman did to innocent broccoli? *shudders*)
@krazykitty I swear I once heard a woman say at Tarder Joe’s: I’m so glad the salad dressing is back, I haven’t eaten any vegetables for the last few months because they were out (I was like.. make your own?!)
@skinnylatte or... try eating your vegetables in a different way?
Sure but I would read it if you did.
@skinnylatte Once, after visiting a client, I took some Taiwanese to eat at a prosciutto restaurant near Parma. When we came out, they were all on the verge of throwing up; I felt absolutely guilty 😅
@pisheng my dad put my super expensive jamon iberico that I hand carried from Spain.. in the freezer. He thought it was going to go bad. I was deeply upset
@skinnylatte AHHAHHAHHAH 😂
@skinnylatte I’ve had the Icelandic shark. It was bad. I don’t think there’s anyway to compete with that one.
@skinnylatte there's plenty of nasty shit in US food but the most repulsive I've heard of is one of my grandmother's favorites. Balut.
Full on nope from me.
@skinnylatte I once heard someone say “tradition is what you grew up with” and this is especially true for foods.
@skinnylatte haha meatloaf. and liver.
i mean wtf people eat this?
i gave up meat because american meat products.
@skinnylatte Oh God, American bread is the WORST!
Me in 2008:
