My keynote at #FroSCOn went well, despite being nervous AF 😊
My watch noticed the latter 😬

@foosel
"High stress has drained your solar"
@Doomed_Daniel "... your body battery" ^^ now on 29%
@foosel At least it didn't show.
You seemed pretty calm and confident (at least when watching in the tiny window on the stream...)
Hope you can enjoy the rest of the conference now that this is done.
@foosel loved your talk!
@foosel How do you find the Garmin? I’m considering ditching my Apple Watch at some point to move out of the Apple ecosystem.
@lordsplodge very happy with it, runtime of around 4 weeks for me, even more when I'm outside a lot (well working solar). My second Garmin watch already, replaced the previous Instinct model late last year after the battery started to die (~3+ years)
@foosel Four weeks. Bit different from my nightly Apple Watch charge. Does it mostly work independently of the phone? (Most uses of my current watch is selected notifications but mostly workouts and fitness tracking. Hiking and cycling mostly)
@lordsplodge tracking works independently, tested it mostly while e-biking. Synced up when reconnected then. What's nice for me is that it also allowed me to track my bouldering sessions incl logging route difficulties.
@foosel I've been on the lookout for a new watch. My Samsung won't work with my de-googled new phone, and it looks like the Garmin is supported by Gadgetbridge. I like the solar option as well. 👍
