As a Mac user who is still on MacOS 15, I am **not thrilled** that Apple has just released a MacOS 26 update that addresses 29 vulnerabilities — 3 in the kernel — and has not released a corresponding update for MacOS 15.

@avi AFAIK it is not entirely clear if these vulnerabilities are in macOS 15.7.7 - at least I hope not, as I'm also still on macOS 15 🫣 Since the RC3 of 15.7.8 "provides important security fixes” does not sound good though…

With macOS 26 I get the impression updates to older - still officially supported - macOS versions got significantly more laggy. My initial plan was to skip macOS 26 entirely and wait for a the first dot-release of macOS 27, but I'm not sure if that's a good plan anymore.

@tisba @avi 15 is still officially supported until 27 comes out. But Apple is doing a shitty job informing us if they are actually doing anything to makenthat a reality.
