The first day of @TheASF’s Community Over Code conference in Glasgow is a go!

Made it to Glasgow just fine, 50mins later than originally planned. I even picked up a power adapter on the way 😇

The UK east coast is beautiful 😍

Thanks for following along and join next Thursday, when we’re going to do it all over again.

Small hiccup on account of a power line failure on the west coast line and I’m now going via Edinburgh, but no biggie.

Hello UK o/

Most obligatory post from literally under the sea. This will never get old 🫶

Welcome to day two of my train trip from Berlin to Glasgow, today I’m taking the Eurostar to London and then an Avanti West Coast to Glasgow.

I can confirm first hand that working with Jenn is a delight. Do not miss out on this. She’ll help find your voice in a cacophony of slop.

This. I have not even once gotten a response from an AI bro when I brought this up.

One of the trade-offs with publishing FOSS software is that your work gets attributed. If you don’t do that, you don’t use my work according to the terms I have published them.

And the. They look at me weird when I call it theft.

Made it to Brussels on time and without issue. What the heck.

The only explanation is that I got double vaxxed yesterday and somehow that unlocks a train fairy.

Exiting Brussels Midi proved a bit of a challenge because of this, but it’s all fine now. https://www.brusselstimes.com/2353359/major-disruptions-throughout-brussels-as-thousands-take-to-the-streets

Join me again for the continuation of my trip!

Even more obligatory Calatrava admiration post from Liège.

We passed Cologne on time and without issues which is unheard of in recent times.

Ordering and then slurping Earl Grey (hot) at these speeds feels quite civilised.

Obligatory post at 301.2km/h on one of the best pieces of Deutsche Bahn infra and from one of the nicest trains, the ICE International to Brussels.

The transfer in FFM was on-time and uneventful.

Is it just me or is it weird to see all the Margaret Hamilton obits use the image where Obama strangles her with a medal from behind?

See you at FlorpCon!

If AIs attacked the power grid, the power grid would just shut off power supplied to the AI data center 🤓

The trip is going fine so far, but going 49.5km/h through Halle Hbf does make me miss the Shinkansen infrastructure.
