As a Mac user who is still on MacOS 15, I am **not thrilled** that Apple has just released a MacOS 26 update that addresses 29 vulnerabilities — 3 in the kernel — and has not released a corresponding update for MacOS 15.

Crouching Tiger Hidden Dragon is a beautiful movie. Beautifully shot. Beautifully choreographed. Beautiful and tragic story. A masterpiece. The kids really enjoyed it, too, and have been discussing it since the credits finished rolling. It's certainly a film that visually sticks in your head - I've only seen it maybe twice that I recall, but *so many scenes* are burned into my mind in ways I didn't realize until watching it again.

📝 I remember having to figure out what kind of number a variable assignment was — int, float, etc. — or my whole program would crash. Now I can have a half-formed idea and the computer will just fill in the rest.

I finally read A Psalm for the Wild-Built by Becky Chambers. A beautiful book!

I also blame Apple for not adding a flag or something to the API so app makers could designate a notification as “a helpful tip” or some such nonsense and then giving us users a switch to suppress or at least “quiet” such notifications.

I’m sick and tired of apps abusing push notifications to boost engagement. It’s incredibly obnoxious.
