@Viss I decided to test mine, the actual weather station itself doesn't have a web service on it, but the receiver in the house _does_ have a web service on it.

Lo and behold... the dashboard in the house does respond to `http://<ip>/client?command=record` and has the same data as the dashboard.

So I can do one of a few things now:
- Finish the 433MHz receiver
- Just pull the data from the website
- Both for funsies

Sometimes when you talk out loud with/to somebody, ideas pop into your head. @Viss mentioned pulling in data from his weather station using an API. I'm using a Sainlogic weather station, which has no documented API interface.

I know I can hear the transmitter posting weather data to the receiver using 433MHz receiver, which I constructed. But his statement on using an API made me question my understanding again. Did some poking and found this [1] github repo.

I snagged some of the One Page Rules models to do some playing with. I printed these on my 3D printer (Bambu X1C with 0.2 nozzle + Resin2FDM workflow). Print came out pretty impressive for FDM.

I'll probably hit the local model store to pick up some better brushes and a handful of paints to do better, but I think the test was mostly successful.

Just need a better lit work space.

I haven't painted a miniature in probably 30+ years. I have been itching to get back into playing Warhammer, or similar, as I've posted in the past.

The painting I give myself a 3. I was using cheap paint ($5 for 30) and cheap brushes you get from local craft store you give the kids. No silver/metallics so armor is gray for now.

This was more of a test of my patience to see if I would be able to sit and paint models again.

Just got an email from ebay about a safety issue on something I ordered 12 years ago... neodymium magnets. They removed the listing because theyre a choking hazard and magnetic.

I'm pretty sure the 50 or so are embedded in various projects at this point. I'm not swallowing any of them.

Unsolicited advice to “just block and move on”, no matter how well intentioned, is not helpful or actionable for someone who’s the target of organized or persistent harassment. It’s ultimately just a dismissal, “shut up about your problems” couched in slightly more polite language.

We’re spending an enormous amount of time, money, and effort, requiring vision and courage, to do something big where the objective isn’t to kill anyone or conquer anything, but just to perhaps learn some interesting things about the universe in which we live.

Maybe some politicians get some bragging rights.

I’m OK with that, even if I don’t care for the politicians.

If you are a small time publisher that does newsletters, whats your go-to program? OSS preferred. I've been using MS Publisher since I was in high school.

I've been doing a club newsletter for 3-4 years using it, but with plans on rebuilding my computer at home to Linux, Publisher goes away. Granted, MS hasn't touched it in years so it's free of all the AI junk, and still just works how I expect it to.

I wish smart phones were even moderately that. Internet is down at house again. Got tech coming tomorrow. Trying to access resources on network from android and it says it cannot access them.

Run a scan and it can see the device, open browser and put in IP and it can't find it. It seems that any software sees the "internet" is not available via wifi and just stops using it, even if the IP youre trying to reach is on that wifi interface.

When I was a teenager, I used to play #Warhammer #Fantasy and #Necromunda. I've not played either in close to 30 years, yet half my youtube feed (when I watch) is related to those types of games.

I've been really contemplating getting back into it again, but it'd be an entirely fresh start as all my stuff is back home in the UK (if it still exists).

Anybody I know play? What's the new hotness? I enjoy Necromunda for the campaign/gang continuations and game speed

I've probably commented about this before, but since it just happened to me again, a reminder: "If you think this is important you could submit a patch or merge request for it instead of just a bug report," is an INCREDIBLY SHITTY way to respond to someone who has given you, as a gift, the time and effort necessary to submit a good-faith bug report about a real issue.
