    1/ Late July trip to Meysan lake, passing the lower lakes on the way up. I knew weather the next day was going to stop me from doing much so I went up at the end of the day before to at least get a campout.

    2/ going up the waterfall late in the day was particularly nice. Sort of a spontaneous evening but worth it. I was happy to get up to the lake while it was still light to find somewhere nice to camp.

    3/ had dinner with sunset at the lake, eastern views but pretty light regardless

    4/ moonrise and remaining sunset color, saw one tent across the lake but didn't appear to be anyone else around.

    5/ morning came quickly, dry night on the big rock. Happy I'd switched plans and gone up to start the day from the lake. Weather was going to stop me regardless so it was nice to day hike from up there.

    6/ hiked up the chute behind the lake in the morning. No real plan since weather was coming in the afternoon. I've been up this way before but I wanted to scout some things for a future trip. Meysan lake was full mouthwash opacity from the snowmelt compared to how clear it was earlier in the spring. Turned around with the cloud buildup.
