If you haven't seen it yet, we have a new forum for user feedback. If you want to share your opinions on the new 5.0 design (or other topics), please submit it there so our team can see and process it. If someone already submitted what you wanted to share, there is an upvote function. https://community.joinmastodon.org
We're also working on improving the technical setup of @Discourse and our processes around the forum in the next couple of weeks. Thanks for your feedback! 🫶
@mellifluousbox @Discourse mastodon 5.0 when will be arrive in mobile app ?
@mellifluousbox can i use mymastodon.social account to post?
@chad006 Not yet, but we'll look into what's possible.
@mellifluousbox I really liked that the posts on @Mastodon had the profile image in line with the post text.
@mellifluousbox why doesn't it just accept the mastodon user id to log in? Why do I need yet another login? Pass. I'l just express my opinions on the site instead. I don't need another thing to read/comment on/do.
@darwinwoodka @mellifluousbox Hear Hear.
@aadeacon @darwinwoodka We'll look into what's possible.
@mellifluousbox I am very unwilling to create new accounts that I don't have to, thus so far I have not reported the things that I have noticed.
@mellifluousbox mastodon 5.0 is unusable on android firefox. And i need to create another acc to report? Guys, new mastodon is so bad i want to delete acc, not to create another one!
@mcSlibinas Sorry to hear that. You can always just send an email to feedback@joinmastodon.org instead. Thanks!
@mellifluousbox @mcSlibinas Heh, you could just have said "I don't care" instead of giving typical CEO answer.
@mellifluousbox too bad you can't login using your Fedi-Account 😅
@mellifluousbox don't want to make a new account just to say: i like it! :)
@mellifluousbox The Mastodon 5.0 update is bad in so many ways that explaining it all would exhaust any developer reading it all.
Also, requiring feedback be posted to a separate site adds additional hoops required to post feedback, decreasing the chance of participation and resulting in feedback to skews toward favorable. Maybe you can just let go the guy who keeps praising and taking credit for the 5.0 update? Would solve this huge mess very quickly.
@mellifluousbox Hier ook de Offline page maar even laten staan, want nog geen bevestiging dat de hosting provider de PHP versies heeft updated.
@AngelaScholder Hi! Very flattering you assume I speak Dutch :) Sorry, but I never made it past A1 level when I was living in Rotterdam.
@mellifluousbox LOL! Sorry, generally I often write/speak English when Dutch would very well do, and here I reply in Dutch on an English post...
No idea what happened. I guess I was just too engaged in Dutch.
One hillarious occasion years ago talking with a Dutch friend for some 3 quarters of an hour. At the end he made the remark 'I could talk Dutch to him'. Apparently I had done the complete conversation in English, and he in Dutch.
Some other friends there found it hilarious.
As for what I wrote, will check. But I guess you at least got an idea what I meant, but maybe I should add the English version.
