It may or may not be of interest, but I'm in my 60s, and nobody has ever explained to me what those strips are for, and I've never seen them in use so had no opportunity to figure it out.
Now that I know, of course I will be mindful to keep clear of them. Kudos to the guy in the vid for keeping a polite and even slightly cheerful tone.
Oct 18, 2026, 7:36 AM@Dinkenfunkle I think it's OK not to know, but yes once you see someone with a stick walking along using it to get the vibrations across the strip it does become rather more obvious! I'm sure you'd get out the way.
I guess he was in noisy or busy places like railway stations and such, in this video.
